| Rhona Darcy | | Services offered: Traditional Chinese Medical Acupuncture, ear acupuncture, electro acupuncture, moxibustion and cupping, Laser Therapy, EFT
| I qualified in Traditional Chinese Medical Acupuncture and spent time in China working in Gulou Hospital, Nanjing. I am fully qualified in the use of Laser Therapy and a certified practitioner in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Conditions Treated with Acupuncture include: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME), Menstrual, infertility and other ‘women’s’ problems, musculoskeletal problems, stress, anxiety and insomnia.
Laser Therapy uses a narrow beam of light to stimulate healing and affects endorphin levels in the body. There is a large body of published scientific work proving the effectiveness of Lasers and they are used in many hospitals and physiotherapy clinics.
Laser treatment is excellent for Musculoskeletal problems, especially when combined with Acupuncture, skin problems (eczema, psoriasis, acne, chilblains, warts & ulcers) and can help minimise withdrawal symptoms when quitting smoking. It can also be used to treat children or those with needle phobia.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a gentle tapping technique used to resolve emotional issues. EFT is excellent for stress resolution, pain management, weight problems, smoking cessation, phobias (fear of flying, public speaking, needles etc). Once learned you can continue to use it for anything that upsets you.
I am registered with the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association (AFPA) whose members adhere to a strict code of practice. My background is Medical Laboratory Science. (I am qualified to Fellowship level)
Acupuncture treatment is reimbursable if you have healthcare insurance such as Quinn Healthcare, VHI, VIVAS, ESB and Garda Medical Aid. |

| Seamus Lynch Monkstown 5 Element Acupuncture | | Services offered: Acupuncture Zero Balancing
| Qualified as an acupuncturist at the College of Traditional Acupuncture UK which specializes in 5 Element acupuncture in 1993 and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council. The 5 Element style can be described as a person centred rather than symptom based approach in that the emotional characteristics of the person play a key role in diagnosis and treatment as well as taking the symptoms into account.
Symptoms that can be effectively treated include panic attacks, anxiety, fatigue, digestive problems, irritable bowel, menstrual and fertility issues, and also back problems, trigeminal neuralgia, sinus, asthma, migraine and many more.
Certified Zero Balancer since 1995 and member of the Zero Balancing Association UK. Zero Balancing is a form of energy bodywork which is done through clothes and focuses on the skeletal structure but without manipulation. It uses held pressure at a certain level of touch called interface and gentle tractions into key joints in the body enabling enhanced levels of integration to occur physically, mentally and emotionally. It is a very effective way to treat many musculoskeletal problems such as neck stiffness, shoulder, hip and back problems, and also stress and sleep disturbance and is deeply relaxing. A session takes approximately one hour.
The F.X.Mayr cleansing diet is offered as a way of treating many problems which are rooted in the digestive system through bad eating habits and misdigestion. F.X.Mayr (1875-1965) was a pioneering Austrian doctor who discovered this method of regenerative diet and fasting. It can be a very effective way to treat bowel problems, food intolerences, fatigue, weight issues and many other symptoms.
Seamus introduced Indian Head Massage to Ireland in 1993 and has been teaching workshops in it since 1994.

EFT concentrates on addressing the energy blockage or disruption in order to dissolve the associated negative emotion, which will allow you to move forward and get on with your life. EFT uses a sequence of gentle tapping on key acupoints while tuning into an emotional issue or physical discomfort by repeating phrases, specific to the issue, thus allowing the flow of energy to re-balance and therefore releasing the emotional blockage.
EFT is used to treat the following:
Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Fears & Phobias, Addictions & Obsessions, Trauma, PSTD, Self Esteem Issues, Rage & Anger,Performance Anxiety (e.g. Public Speaking).

Acupuncture is an aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine which has been practiced successfully for ovey 5000 years in the treatment and prevention of disease. It involves the insertion of fine needles in various sites on the body to alleviate pain or for therapuetic purposes. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture points are situated along meridans (channels) in which qi (energy) flows. By placing needles in specific acupuncture points, we can influence the flow of qi (energy). Free flow of qi is important for the balance of the bodies internal symstems and therefore ones wellbeing.
Acupuncture can also be used to compliment our physiotherapy treatments to assist a speedy and natural recovery. All our acupuncturist have a post graduate Diploma from the University of Dublin and is recognised by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
