I believe Reiki plays an important role in releasing emotions and assisting the body to heal. This is especially beneficial to animals who can suffer from the same emotions as humans. They too can feel sadness, depression, fear or grief. Unlike humans they cannot cry or talk to help release these emotions!
My interest in healing goes back to my childhood. As a young girl I would rescue injured birds or mice, nursing them in the doll's carry cot! I always had a deep affection for animals, pets always forming a very important part of the family.
Since then I have still followed a healing path. I joined classes in Spiritual Healing during the early 90s and progressed to qualifying as a Reiki Master in 2004.

| In my practice of Kinesiology / Reiki I felt that not all my patients were responding to treatments or medications. I lost two friends to cancer and subsequently learnt of Geopathic Stress / Electro Magnetic Radiation. It has been found through research in Europe that is much more difficult, if not impossible to effectively treat any illness while the patient is exposed to Geopathic Stress / Electro Magnetic Radiation. Some medical doctors are now advising some of their patients who may not be responding to treatment to have their homes tested for Geopathic Stress/ Electro Magnetic Radiation. Having tested many houses at least 99% of these were affected by GS. The occupants were found to have been sleeping in a GS area. I have found that there is definately a link between Electro Magnetic Radiation and Fibromyalgia. |

| In my practice I use Reiki; a gentle, non-invasive energy therapy to relax and re-balance the physical, emotional and spiritual body; thus enabling the body's natural healing process. It accelerates the body’s own natural ability to heal itself. Reiki is a support to the body, and therefore, works in conjunction with other treatments and therapy.
I also offer Crystal Healing, which is a form of healing that uses crystals or gemstones. The crystals are mainly placed on specific areas of the body called "chakras." Chakra is a Hindu term meaning spiritual energy. According to this teaching there are seven basic energy centres in the body, each having a colour associated with it. Some crystal healers place the same colour crystals as the colour of the chakras on the person to enhance the flow of energy. Crystals are said to direct the flow of energy to the person in a particular part of the body and bring balance to a person's energy. Ultimately, they are used to cleanse the person from bad or negative energy believed to cause an illness. Clearing out the bad spiritual energy alleviates the physical ailment.
Each of the treatments are approximately one hour in length.
I draw on my Spiritual Intuition and Divine Guidance throughout my healings. All my healing work is done in Love & Light.

After a successful career as a professional ballet dancer, I decided to pursue a life-long interest in natural health and healing. I initially trained as a Reiki practitioner, then in Body Alignment Technique and Energy Release Therapy. I then trained in various forms of massage (Swedish, Aromatherapy, Deep Tissue) over the next few years and practised these both privately and in top spas in Cape Town and London.
I then decided I wanted to add a more medical, scientific, yet still natural skill to my training and decided medical herbalism was the perfect combination of nature, plants, medicine and science. After a 4 year full-time course at the College of Phytotherapy in the UK, I successfully graduated as a medical herbalist in 2002. On my return to Cape Town I practised as a medical herbalist, gaining valuable experience.
It was during this time that I discovered Pilates and was amazed at the results it offered. On learning about its wider applications and benefits, I decided to train as a Pilates Instructor. I feel that my background as a professional dancer gives me a unique perspective and advantage in Pilates instructing for all levels and abilities, and my medical training gives me an advantage in rehabilitation work.
In 2008, looking for a new challenge, I decided to settle in Dublin and explore my Irish roots, with the aim of integrating all of my skills into a busy, challenging and holistic practice, in which I can address many of the health and wellness challenges facing today's modern, urban population. I look forward to sharing my unique skill-set, knowledge and enthusiasm for all of my therapies.
