Unique opportunity to learn Ayurvedic Yoga Massage in Ireland.
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a dynamic and deeply therapeutic massage. It fuses the sister sciences of Ayurveda and Yoga creating a strong deep tissue massage with assisted yoga stretches. This is a Professional Massage Course and is accredited by the CTHa (Complimentary Therapists Association) and supported by the Ayurvedic Yoga Massage Institute.
The massage combines deep tissue massage with sesame oil and ayurvedic herbal powders which gently exfoliate and detox the body. The yoga stretches range from an assisted cobra stretch to a combination of spinal twists and leg stretches. All the stretches work to open up the body three dimensionally, get breath moving fully and naturally increase our stamina and awareness of the body. Through synchronised breathwork, the receiver is led progressively deeper into assisted yoga postures that help correct postural imbalances and restore harmony to the body,
An ayurvedic yoga massage session is a dialogue – both the giver and the receiver learn to listen to the body. When we realign the body, release stress and tension, we can also unlock trapped emotions that we hold in the body.
Adam Divine has been practising AYM for 13 years and this will be his fifth trip to Cork to share this amazing massage. He is the anatomy lecturer for Himalaya Yoga Valley Cork Teacher Training. There are two levels available - Level One gives you enough techniques to practice a one and a half hour massage with yoga stretches (August 10-13th); in Level Two there are more advanced techniques and stretches and you learn to use your feet to perform the massage as well (August 17th - 20th).
